Dolos ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Dolos smart ring and associated mobile application. We built Dolos with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what information is stored and how we protect your privacy.
Our gesture-based control technology is patent pending.
2. Information We Store
2.1 Waitlist Email
If you join our waitlist, we store your email address to notify you when Dolos is available. You can unsubscribe anytime.
2.2 Health & Wellness Data
Your Dolos ring measures health metrics which are synced to secure cloud storage so you can access long-term trends and insights across devices. This data includes:
- Heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV)
- Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2)
- Skin temperature
- Sleep data and patterns
- Activity and step count
- Body battery and stress levels
Important: While your data is stored securely in the cloud, we do not access, view, or analyze your personal health data. It exists solely for your benefit — to provide you with long-term insights and backup. Your data is encrypted and protected.
2.3 Gesture Processing
Gesture recognition happens entirely on the ring itself using on-device machine learning. Your gestures are processed locally and are not stored or transmitted.
3. Third-Party Integrations (Your Choice)
Dolos can connect to third-party services — but only if you choose to enable them. We support gesture control for these services (patent pending technology):
When you connect an integration, data flows between your device and that service based on your configuration. Each integration is governed by its own privacy policy.
4. We Never Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We don't use your data for advertising or marketing purposes. Your health information belongs to you.
5. Data Security
Your health data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. The connection between your ring and phone uses encrypted Bluetooth. We use industry-standard security practices and infrastructure to protect your data.
Our services are hosted on secure, compliant cloud infrastructure with robust security certifications.
6. Your Rights & Control
You have full control over your data:
- Delete all your health data anytime from the app
- Export your data in standard formats
- Disconnect any integration at any time
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails
- Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
7. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies for basic functionality. We don't use tracking cookies for advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are designed for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
